Creating buzz for a business or an event means that a solid plan to get customers to take notice. What can be done to make the event or business stand out takes more than just one part of a marketing plan. It takes a multi-faceted plan that includes attacking all of the areas that your audience is. First do you know how to reach them? Do you know where they are hiding? Where are your competitors hitting them?
  • Social Media - create a solid plan on how to get your customers to find you on social media, targeted paid ads, a solid bio, great key words and interests. Lastly, create posts that are engaging and motivating.
  • Website - is your website, clean, attractive and mobile friendly? If your sites, main goal is to get people to purchase off of it ... then make sure your call of actions are clear and that there are plenty of high-quality photos.
  • Advertising - There are many places you can pay to advertise, you can pay to have billboards, print ads in industry specific magazines, SEM, and paying to do mailers.
  • Prospecting - to get clients in the door, you want to prospect to start building your business, make calls to get noticed or send targeted emails to reach your current clients, make sure that the emails are clean, clear and have a great reason to open them.
Reel them in ... the customers that is. Setting up the plan and sticking to it will bring the clients coming and new clients aware of your brand and your mission.

Planning an effective event

When planning our event, there are a series of steps that need to be taken care of to make sure that your event goes off without a hitch.

Have you thoroughly put the word out on your event?
What is it meant to do?
What is it benefiting?

When promoting your event, make sure that you put all of the even information that is pertinent to what will drive people there ... the who, what, when, where and why.

When you get people through the door and to get a ticket, what is going to keep them there and what is going to keep them wanting to interact with you and your booths.

Once you have them through the door, what is going to keep them there needs to be something to excite them. Free give-aways, auctions or raffles.

Having the proper branding is important to showcase who you are and what you want to do.

Events are a fun thing to work up to and make for a great way to get people to have a good feeling of who and what you are.

# ... hashtag what?

When prepping for your next event, you want to make sure that you utilize all of the resources that you have to promote the event.

Come up with a plan on how to be seen before, during and after. One of the easiest and best ways is to utilize a hashtag that supports your event and goes with your brand. Start with using something that comes back to you, your event and stick with it (especially if this is an event that you do often!)

Start using it when promoting your event, build interest.

Post it on social media, pair it with pictures and branded graphics.

During the event put it on hand outs.

Post photos and videos of the event with the hashtag ... multiple times during the event.

Have your clients share their photos with your hashtag and share their excitement.

Put it on your signage! There is no better way to help others share, than to tell them what to share and where.

After the event ... post pictures, testimonials and build up for your next event.

Remember brand it consistent and they will come!
